Efficiency of Different Anti-Dust Agents in Reducing Dust Emission from Forest Road and Deposition on Leaf Surface

چکیده

Dust is often generated from the dry surfaces of unpaved forest roads as a result vehicular traffic. particles can negatively affect vegetative growth, water quality and road traffic quality. In this study, some environmental friendly anti-dust agents including sugar cane molasses, polyacrylamide (PAM) bentonite were used to control dust emission surface under three different concentrations within 3, 9, 27 81 day timeframe. Rear-mounted spray system dustometer devices for implementation treatments recording, respectively. Leaf samples collected trees adjacent measure deposited on leaves by centrifuging solution. The results showed that molasses achieved higher efficiencies in term reduction cost effectiveness than those PAM Loveh forest, where high levels fines are present materials. 2% 4% most efficient dosages terms Shastkalateh Kouhmian forests, It was detected all sites emitted Carpinus betulus L. Alnus subcordata L., while smooth retained lower amount Parrotia persica CAM. concluded fine aggregates surfacing materials, type dosage agent play an important role longevity treatment.

Tailpipe, resuspended road dust, and brake-wear emission factors from on-road vehicles

Intensive mass and chemical measurements were performed at roadside locations in Reno, Nevada, and Durham/ Research Triangle Park), North Carolina to derive tailpipe, resuspended road dust, and brake-wear emission factors from in-use vehicles. Continuous particulate matter (PM) data were utilized to derive total emission factors while integrated PM data were used to attribute the calculated emi...

Dust emission from IRC + 10216

Infrared emission from the dust shell around IRC+10216 is analysed in detail, employing a self-consistent model for radiatively driven winds around late-type stars that couples the equations of motion and radiative transfer in the dust. The resulting model provides agreement with the wealth of available data, including the spectral energy distribution in the range 0.5–1000 μm, and visibility an...

Polarized Microwave Emission from Dust

Polarized emission from dust is an important foreground that can hinder the progress in polarized CMB studies unless carefully accounted for. We discuss potential difficulties associated with the dust foreground, namely, the existence of different grain populations with very different emission/polarization properties and variations of the polarization yield with grain temperature. In this conte...

Polarized Emission from Interstellar Dust

Observations of far-infrared (FIR) and submillimeter (SMM) polarized emission are used to study magnetic fields and dust grains in dense regions of the interstellar medium (ISM). These observations place constraints on models of molecular clouds, star-formation, grain alignment mechanisms, and grain size, shape, and composition. The FIR/SMM polarization is strongly dependent on wavelength. We h...
